Meet the Owner
Dr. Vincent Smith
Dr. Vincent Smith is the founder of Horse Creek AI and serves as the Program Director of Data Analytics and Computer Science at the University of Charleston. With a PhD in Data Science and multiple master’s degrees in Mathematics and Psychology, Dr. Smith brings a rare blend of technical expertise and practical teaching experience.
Born and based in rural West Virginia, he has spent his career teaching, mentoring, and helping underserved communities access tools that make a real difference. Through Horse Creek AI, he’s focused on delivering affordable, jargon-free AI solutions to local nonprofits, small businesses, and educators across Appalachia.
Expertise: Applied data science, AI integration, curriculum design, statistical modeling, and ethical use of technology.
Fun Fact: Vincent is also a game developer and vacation rental business owner, combining creativity with data in everything he does.
